Mary Theisen has more than 20 years of experience in brand management and customer business development. Mary is the Senior Director, International Channel Brand Management at Starbucks Coffee Company, responsible for consumer products marketing in more than 25 international markets.
Mary joined Starbucks as the Brand Manager for Starbucks packaged coffee, successfully launching the business nationally to achieve market share leadership. In her 14 years at Starbucks Coffee Company, she has held numerous roles of progressive responsibility managing the company’s Channel Development portfolio in the US or International markets including Starbucks, Seattle’s Best packaged coffee; Starbucks and Seattle’s Best Coffee K-Cup packs; the Starbucks Verismo system; Starbucks VIA Ready Brew and ready-to-drink beverages such as Frappuccino, Discoveries and Tazo Tea. Prior to joining Starbucks, Mary worked in brand management at Tyson Foods.
Mary is inspired by the example her parents set for community involvement and service, and is excited to be part of the Saving Promise executive board. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with family, is an avid traveler, passionately exploring national parks, and enjoying outdoor recreation.
Mary received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree and Bachelor of Arts degree in German from the University of Missouri in Kansas City, graduating with honors. She received her Master’s of Business Administration degree from Georgetown University.
